About Us
About us
We are located in Shellharbour, NSW Australia founded in 2025.
Our founder Brad Jeffery first started climbing in 1984 in Scouts and was taught by renowned old-school trad climber/mountaineer Rick Fischer. He immediately built his own walls, even chipping the mortar out from between bricks on the end of his house to practice aide climbing.
In 1990 Brad spent the year in Karlstad, Sweden as an exchange student. Whilst there he helped build an 18m x 18m climbing wall and set a route that Wolfgang Guillich later called, ‘interesting’.
For most of his life he has had some form of home climbing wall. In 2004 he even built a 4-poster queen size bed that converted into a climbing wall. This is when he was living in an apartment with limited space.
In 2013 Brad bought his first 3D printer and later founded Replace My Part. This finally led him to come up with the basic design for self-poured 3D printed holds. It was a coming-together of a decade of 3D printing and a lifetime of climbing. 5Tendons was born! A few investors helped us get setup and then Callum and Jack also came on board to help with designing our complete range for launch. We built a demo/test wall out the back of Brad’s place in Shellharbour.
So here we are! Offering our new way of making holds. We hope that you love them as much as we do.
Our mission is to provide you with the best, cheapest DIY climbing holds possible.
